Synopsis of the work:
Iván is in a hotel room, his fiancée Sara arrives there, who has been looking for him for several days, their marriage will be soon and for a week Iván has disappeared from everyone. Sara tries to find out the reasons why he wanted to get away from everything, while we learn about his past with another woman already dead. Inspired by Anton Chekhov's Ivanov, this work written and directed by Jorge Hugo Marín tells us about the crisis of a man who has lost the will to live, an unease that he has built and to which he finds no answer or solution. A delusional dialogue about the human condition and the ghosts that inhabit the mind of our protagonist.

Director's CV:
Jorge Hugo Marín, was born on January 17, 1981 in Medellín- Colombia. He is a teacher in Dramatic Art from the University of Antioquia. He is an actor, director and playwright. In 2009 he founded La Maldita Vanidad theatrical company, creating of his authorship the trilogy On some family matters published in 2012 by the District University of Bogotá. This trilogy has been invited to more than 40 festivals around the world. Morir de Amor his fourth play with which he opens a permanent headquarters for the company in the city of Bogotá and which to date serves as a training space, conducting creation workshops with invited actors. In 2013 he was the winner of the IDARTES Creation Grant for directors with a career with his new work Matando el Tiempo, which in turn is a co-production of the XIV Ibero-American theater festival in Bogotá. In 2014 he premiered Fractured Landscape for Maldita Vanidad and the musical Mentiras for the National Theater Foundation. In 2015, he wrote and directed the work Today I Aged Ten Years for the Colón Theater in Bogotá, in 2016 he inaugurated room 2 of the damned vanity with the work of the Uruguayan author Franco Sergio Blanco with the work Kassandra.

La Maldita Vanidad Teatro is a foundation created in 2009. In these nine years, more than 30 permanent artists and 50 professional guests have joined the project who have consolidated the strength of the group and have positioned it as a quality group; with a forceful scenic language in the national and international theatrical trade.
